How Much Does a Website Cost?

The honest answer depends on what the website needs to contain and do. Vantora offers three clearly scoped starting packages, while larger or more complex projects are quoted around their actual requirements.

What Affects the Price of a Website?

A simple site with prepared content is different from a website requiring dozens of pages, specialist writing, booking rules, account areas or custom software. These are the main factors Vantora considers before confirming a price.

Page count and content

More pages require more structure, layout decisions, content preparation, responsive checking and internal linking. Copywriting or content reorganisation can also add to the scope.

Custom design requirements

A focused visual system is included within the package direction. Complex illustration, specialist interaction, unusual layouts or extensive brand development require additional work.

WordPress and administration

WordPress is useful when you need to manage pages, posts or structured content after launch. The required level of administrator access should be agreed before the build begins.

eCommerce and products

Product quantity, categories, variations, checkout, delivery rules and payment providers affect an online-store project. Read the eCommerce website cost guide for more detail.

Forms and integrations

Simple enquiries are different from conditional forms, bookings, memberships, payment integrations or connections to external business systems.

Custom applications

Portals, dashboards, marketplaces, mobile apps and SaaS platforms require discovery, interface planning and technical development, so they are quoted individually.

Domain and hosting costs

Domain registration and hosting are not currently included in Vantora’s standard website package prices. The client purchases these services separately and retains ownership. Vantora can help identify and configure a suitable third-party provider when required.

Any premium plugins, specialist services or external subscriptions needed by the agreed functionality should also be identified before work begins.

Ongoing costs and maintenance

A website can be managed by the customer where administrator access is included, or supported by Vantora through separately agreed work. Ongoing updates, content management and technical support are not silently bundled into the one-off package fee.

Affordable web design is easier to judge when both the initial price and future responsibilities are clear.

There is no single useful average price for every website. A one-page website, a multi-page WordPress site and an eCommerce store have very different requirements, so the fairest comparison is always based on a clearly defined scope. If timing is also part of the decision, read how long it takes to build a website and what commonly causes delays.
